About the Role: This is an entry-level position that will involve verifying employment and education claims made by job applicants. You will be responsible for making outbound calls to employers, educational institutions, and other references, as well as entering and managing data. The role also includes other inbound and outbound calling tasks as necessary. We value individuals who can manage their time efficiently and approach every task with a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct phone verifications with employers, schools, and references to confirm applicants' employment and education history.
Accurately log responses and update data systems.
Ensure professionalism, trustworthiness, and clear communication during all interactions.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and be eager to learn.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Fast and accurate typing skills (50+ WPM).
Excellent phone communication skills.
Strong PC proficiency, including navigation and data entry.
Ability to professionally manage calls, logging information accurately.
Positive and reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
Ability to clear a background check.
Preferred Experience: While not required, the following experience would be a plus:
Call center or experience with verifying employment or educational claims.
Legal office experience, including knowledge of court cases, criminal records, or legal terminology.
Experience with data entry, accuracy, and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environments.
Familiarity with FCRA or hiring regulations related to background checks.
Experience in office administration, executive assistance, or finance/accounting.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates, with the possibility of evening shifts (please indicate your preference in your application).
Pay range: $15 to $20 per hour, based on experience.
While remote work is available for reliable team members, you must be willing to commute to the office for a two-week training period.
