Position Summary:
The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.
Schedule: 40 Hours, Evenings, 3p-1130p, Every Other Weekend, Full-Time, Benefit Eligible
Week 1: Sunday-Thursday (Friday/Saturday off)
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, Saturday (Sunday, Friday off)
Requirements:
Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience : Previous hospital experience preferred
Certification/Licensure : BLS/CPR certification required
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to lift without any limitations
