Salary: $20-25/hour (based on experience) + 100% tips
Schedule: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday (10-hour shifts) during trial period. Then Wednesday-Saturday (10-hour shifts)

About Us:

Tangled Tails Grooming Salon is a small, locally owned dog grooming shop dedicated to providing top-quality grooming services in a friendly and inclusive environment. We prioritize animal well-being, customer satisfaction, and creating a supportive team atmosphere.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salon Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a high standard of grooming care. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, previous grooming experience, and a passion for working with both pets and people.

The position starts with a one-month trial period where the manager will take on light grooming duties (1-2 dogs per day) while training to handle full managerial responsibilities. After successfully completing the trial, the position becomes full-time (Wednesday-Saturday), with eligibility for benefits and potential pay increases.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Salon Operations Management:

• Open and close the salon independently
• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain salon cleanliness and organization

✅ Customer Service & Communication:

• Greet and assist clients, ensuring an excellent experience
• Handle scheduling (text, email, and phone calls)
• Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction

✅ Team Leadership & Support:

• Supervise and support groomers and staff
• Ensure adherence to PACFA regulations and safety protocols
• Foster a positive, professional work environment

✅ Grooming Duties (During Trial Period & As Needed):

• Groom 1-2 dogs per day
• Step in and help groomers as needed

Qualifications:

✔ Experience: Minimum 4 years professional grooming

✔ Computer Skills: Comfortable working with and learning programs on the computer including spreadsheets, website management, and booking platform

✔ Leadership: Ability to supervise and support a small team, experiencing managing a salon is a plus
✔ Reliability: Punctuality and strong work ethic are a must
✔ Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
✔ Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high grooming standards and salon cleanliness
✔ Passion for Dogs: Commitment to animal welfare and a love for working with pets
