Job Description

EnerMech is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Specialist to join our onsite HR team. This role will be responsible for the administration and day-to-day support of employee benefit programs, including health insurance through BlueCross BlueShield and retirement plans through Fidelity . The Benefits Specialist will serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and ensure smooth coordination with vendors and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer group health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
• Serve as the point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits and claims.
• Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HR systems.
• Partner with BlueCross BlueShield and Fidelity to ensure accurate plan administration and resolve issues.
• Coordinate and support the open enrollment process.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
• Maintain accurate records and perform regular audits of benefits data.
• Assist with benefits-related onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Support the HR team with benefits reporting and invoice reconciliation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in benefits administration.
• Hands-on experience with BlueCross BlueShield and Fidelity 401(k) plans required.
• Knowledge of relevant benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms preferred.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
