**Job Description** Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). (Jacobs), and HII Nuclear Inc. **Responsiblities** We are seeking a Training Specialist II to join our team and support delivery of technical and safety-related training courses. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of corporate training experience and a strong understanding of instructional methodologies, adult learning principles, and regulatory compliance requirements. This role focuses on instruction, hands-on training, and practical evaluations across various subject areas focused on industrial and nuclear safety topics. **Key Responsibilities** + May work under the direction of a senior/experienced instructor or supervisor. + Provides classroom instruction, small group instruction, and hands-on, individualized instruction as required, for subject areas as assigned. + Administers examinations and provides remediation as necessary based on results. + Assist with training evaluations for new and existing training products. + Assists with development on new training products as assigned. + Ensures currency of training materials to include course documents, lesson plans, tests, and training effectiveness tools. + Maintains test examinations banks and/or examinations used to evaluate personnel. + Maintain training ais (i.e., disassembling, cleaning, reassembling). + Provides schedule inputs for master training calendars. + Ensure training records generated for personnel are maintained per company training and record processes. + Perform other duties assigned by Management. **Qualifications** **Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.** + Bachelor's degree in education, training, instructional design, adult education or related field and at least 2 years of professional-level experience; or equivalent training and experience. + Knowledge of adult learning principles and facilitation methods. + Knowledge of learning management systems. + Familiarity of federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, EPA, ect.), DOE Orders, and other guidance documents for training and instruction, specifically those impacting nuclear activities and facilities. + Experience conducting classroom or small group instruction effectively for adult audiences. + Experience using word processing, email, spreadsheet, and presentation software. + Effective oral and writing skills. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills + Maintain knowledge of company procedures to ensure training meets regulatory and organizational standards. + Recognize and report hazards, ensuring a safe and compliant training environment for all participants. + Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. + The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. + Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday - Thursday (subject to change). + Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. + Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ' _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ' _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .'
