Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Course in Nantucket, Massachusetts is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.
Position Overview:
Internship opportunities are available for 3 to 9 months. Our program goes far beyond basic mowing. With only 2–3 interns each summer, we provide focused, hands-on experience in all areas of golf course management, ensuring personalized mentorship and guidance. Our goal is for every intern to be fully prepared for an assistant’s position after completing our program. In a positive, supportive environment, you’ll gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge necessary for long-term success. This internship serves as a true stepping stone toward a career in the golf industry, with the opportunity for advancement into an assistant role at our club.
Internship Highlights:
• Daily hands-on turf management: mowing, rolling, fertility, irrigation, aerification.
• Golf course setup, data collection, and tournament preparation.
• Access to industry leading equipment, state-of-the-art moisture management tools, and a brand-new irrigation system.
• Close mentorship from experienced assistants and golf course manager.
• Career-building skills and professional development for future assistant roles.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field.
Previous experience is a plus, but energy, passion, and a willingness to learn matter most.
Compensation:
$23 per hour.
