Are you a Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing Heat & Refrigeration systems? Experienced in designing using SVA capabilities?

Live in or can easily commute to DALLAS TX?

Able to design using CAD layouts?

My client needs a M.E. with experience with all the above.

The objective of this position is to successfully design and develop new Products, including refrigerated and heated applications and support the production implementation of those new products.

• Develop CAD layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, product specifications, technical manuals, and other documentation as needed to support a new product development.
• Identify Test requirements as needed to assure product performance meets customer and outside regulatory requirements (DOE, EPA, CE, etc.)
• Ensure designs are simple to fabricate, easy to assemble and service. If a new process capability is required, work with the manufacturing engineering group, quality assurance, and operations to implement process improvements to meet design and quality criteria.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently and work at a high intensity level to meet aggressive project deadlines.
• Support field service efforts including training, trouble shooting, installation, etc.

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on design of thermal systems preferred.
• 3 years of design engineering experience within a manufacturing environment required (5 years desired).
• A basic understanding of bills of material and the ERP environment.
• Understanding and experience of “Lean” manufacturing methods (Green Belt certificate or higher preferred).
• A firm grasp of basic engineering fundamentals, sheet metal product design, design for manufacturability, and electrical fundamentals.
• The ability to work under deadlines without sacrificing attention to design detail and fundamentals.
• An understanding of CAD systems and principles (SolidWorks or similar CAD experience required).
