Lockheed Martin Space in Cape Canaveral, FL is
seeking Summer 2026 Software Engineer Intern. In this role, you will perform preliminary and detailed level software analysis and development and work with design engineers to develop optimal solutions for the FBM EGSE Organization. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of multiple software platforms and working in a team environment.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require obtaining a government security clearance .This
position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications: Currently enrolled at an accredited degree program
majoring in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer
Engineering or related field.
- Experience programming in C, C++, or equivalent
programming language
Proficient with MS Office
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a
government security clearance. This position is located
at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills: Knowledgeable in configuration management tools, e.g., SVM, BitBucket, Github, etc.
- Working knowledge in multiple software platforms
- Working knowledge in Windows and Linux OS
Environments
- Coursework in object-oriented software design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
