Job Description

Skilled Trades Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: West Allis, WI (On-site, Full Time)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

A day in this role

At 8:00 a.m., you’re in our West Allis office reviewing overnight applicants in the ATS, aligning candidate profiles to current client orders. By mid-morning, you’re sourcing welders, machinists, maintenance techs, and office professionals through job boards, social/professional networks, and targeted advertising. Late morning you huddle with management to confirm evolving client needs and fine-tune recruiting strategies. Afternoons are for structured interviews, reference checks, debriefs, and coordinating start dates. You close the day updating hiring managers, drafting follow-ups and rejection letters, and preparing orientations for upcoming starts.

What you’ll own

  • Identify and pipeline qualified Skilled Trades and Office candidates for temp-to-hire and direct placements.
  • Independently interview and make hire/no-hire recommendations and decisions within guidelines.
  • Shepherd the full employment cycle for the candidates you hire: discuss offers and raises, set start dates, and handle corrective actions and separations when required.

  • Source through advertising, recruiters, job boards, and career fairs; cultivate social and professional networks to expand reach.
  • Pre-screen applicants, review resumes for fit, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Fully brief candidates on open roles and client company insights; brief and debrief before and after interviews.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system and keep meticulous candidate communication and status updates.
  • Draft professional rejection letters and organize engaging new-employee orientations.
  • Maintain strong communication lines with internal staff and the sales team to stay aligned.
