Description:

Ravago Manufacturing Americas is currently hiring a Shipping Clerk to join its operations team in Baytown, TX. This position plays a critical role in managing the smooth flow of prepackaged inbound and outbound shipments by coordinating warehouse operations through a dedicated management system. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide immediate support to drivers by addressing concerns and troubleshooting issues as needed
• Manage arrival office procedures related to inbound shipments only
• Collaborate closely with warehouse supervisors to monitor and allocate available storage space
• Act as a central liaison between gatehouse attendants, truck drivers, and plant operators
• Prepare and distribute daily load/unload packets to warehouse inspectors
• Issue outbound shipping documents including weight-specific details to drivers
• Relay driver-related concerns to the Traffic Coordinator or Planner
• Handle all documentation for inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and timeliness
• Submit outbound documentation electronically via warehouse management system
• Serve as the primary backup and support to the gatehouse attendant, stepping in when necessary
• Manage export container interchange processes
• Perform additional administrative or logistical duties as assigned

Interaction Points:

• Internal: Shipping team, Customer Solutions team, Transportation staff
• External: Truck drivers, freight carriers

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Sharp attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems and applications quickly
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
• Professional phone etiquette and strong listening skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt in a changing work environment
• Proven ability to manage large volumes of paperwork efficiently without errors
