About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior UX/UI Designer to shape the user experience of our open-source and cloud platforms. You’ll join our Foundation team, working alongside another senior designer and a tight crew of engineers and product leads. Your focus: making Soda Cloud intuitive, fast, and useful from onboarding to complex workflows.You’ll work directly with co-founders, the Head of Product, and real users to design experiences that make data quality simple and actionable. If you’re tired of shipping meaningless tweaks and want ownership over real problems, this role is for you.There’s headroom to grow into a design leadership role as we scale.

What You’ll Do

•Own UX/UI from problem to shipped solution across Soda Cloud and Soda Core.

•Lead user research and usability testing to uncover problems and validate fixes.

•Design everything from lo-fi flows to polished UIs including GenAI-driven chat interfaces that explain and act on data quality issues.

•Work daily with engineers to ship and iterate fast.

•Improve what’s already there: audit UX flows, evolve the design system, and improve speed and consistency.

•Drive UX strategy, not just pixels.

What We’re Looking For

•You’ve built UX for real products used by thousands of technical B2B users.

•You know how to get working prototypes live fast, bonus if you’ve used GenAI dev tools like Cursor or Replit.

•You’re strong in Figma, understand engineering trade-offs, and care about details.

•You run your own research and know how to extract truth from a user session.

•You write and speak crisp English.

•You work independently and bring opinions. You care about data, not just design.

Bonus Points For

•Experience with data engineering or data quality tools.

•5+ years in fast-paced SaaS or devtool environments.

•Shipped developer-focused features (APIs, CLIs, dashboards).

•Designed LLM-powered or AI-assisted UX.

•OSS experience—ideally building with or for open-source communities.

•Experience implementing front-ends or working closely with devs.

•STEM degree from a top-tier university (not required).
