Job Description

Pete Moffat Construction is hiring a senior project manager to lead high-budget, architect-driven custom homes across the Bay Area. This role offers full lifecycle ownership, from preconstruction through completion, on some of the region’s most sophisticated residential builds. The ideal candidate brings financial acumen, calm leadership under pressure, and a sharp eye for craftsmanship. You’ll work closely with internal teams, high-end clients, and top architects. Flexibility to partially work from home is available, but routine site presence in Palo Alto is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through final handoff
• Manage schedules, subcontractors, and change orders
• Interface with clients, architects, consultants
• Conduct team meetings and document decisions
• Collaborate with Superintendents to uphold design intent and quality
• Track project financials and forecasts
• Mentor junior project managers

Hard Skills

• 10+ years managing high-end residential projects
• Proficient in Jonas (or equivalent ERP), Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam
• Strong in budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Experience with $10M–$50M projects

Soft Skills

• Strong communicator with clients and teams
• Organized, self-directed, collaborative
• Calm under pressure and detail-oriented
• Leadership and mentorship mindset
