As a **Security Officer** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation Site and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with the public and team members. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, and we are committed to putting people first while working together with integrity. **Position Type: Full Time** **Pay Rate: $21.88 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Mon08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Tue08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Wed08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thur08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual circumstances. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols. + Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors to support a secure environment. + Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed. **Minimum Requirements:** + Completion of TSA Terrorism Awareness Training is required and may be completed post hire. + A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required. + A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required. + Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. + California Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...
