Salesforce Solution Architect / Developer

Our client is helps companies moves from legacy technology to the leading edge. As a Salesforce Architect / Developer you will be responsible building and implementing Salesforce solutions. You will take a hands on role understanding business requirements, architecting solutions on the Salesforce platform, as well as developing and implementing these solutions. You have experience on many components of the Salesforce platform (including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Force.com) and are capable of both delivering end-to-end solutions or working in a team to meet customer goals.

Technical Architect Overview: Org-wide technical leader focused on architectural standards, platform scalability, and delivery quality

The Technical Architect is responsible for shaping our architectural direction across a portfolio of clients and engagements. This role sets and enforces platform best practices, ensures scalability and sustainability of solutions, and serves as a strategic advisor to project teams, delivery leadership, and clients. Technical Architects operate across pods and domains, guiding high-stakes decision-making, reducing technical debt, and driving innovation through codified patterns. They mentor architects and lead developers, advocate for systemic quality improvements, and anticipate platform risks before they impact delivery.

Core Focus Areas:
• Defining and evolving our architectural standards and solution design frameworks
• Leading platform-level design decisions that impact data models, integrations, security, and performance
• Providing architectural oversight across multiple pods or programs, ensuring consistency and reuse
• Mentoring Solution Architects and Lead Developers, especially on cross-functional design and delivery risks
• Guiding tradeoff decisions in high-complexity engagements and supporting delivery teams in risk mitigation
• Partnering with operations, internal tooling, and product teams to ensure delivery architectures align with internal systems
• Advocating for innovation and emerging Salesforce patterns that strengthen our delivery capabilities

You will be responsible for customizing, developing and supporting solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for:

Working directly with clients and project managers to understand customer requirements, articulate and design solutions as well as estimating the level of effort required for proposal purposes

Building solutions on the Salesforce platform using Lightning, Apex and Visualforce

Developing re-usable Lightning/Force.com applications for internal and customer use


Developing integration processes using Salesforce.com’s Web Services API and third-party integration tools (MuleSoft, Workato, etc., as well as custom API solutions)


Executing data transformation and migration processes for customers using tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Apex Data Loader


Organizing development with DevOps tools


Defining development and testing standard practices to reduce project risk and increase efficiency

Requirements
  • Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years development experience on the Salesforce platform
  • 5+ years development experience in Java, .NET or other object-oriented language
  • Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript, CSS, web development experience is a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues in laymen’s terms to customers
  • Highly motivated and customer focused
Desirable Attributes
  • Work experience with a professional consulting organization
  • Salesforce.com Certifications in addition to Developer certs (such as Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Professional)
