Robotics Technician | Manistee, MI

Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on industrial robotic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues in automated equipment.
• Execute repairs, component replacements, and calibrations to ensure optimal robot performance and accuracy.
• Conduct basic programming, teach point adjustments, and path modifications using teach pendants.
• Assist with the installation, setup, and integration of new robotic cells and automation equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures for all robotic operations and maintenance tasks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, PLC logic, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues on robotic systems.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and system optimizations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design review or minor modifications.
• Basic welding or machining skills for fabrication and repair.
