The Positive Regard Network (Chicopee MA) is seeking applicants for the position of Reading Specialist/Teacher. The Reading Specialist/Teacher under the supervision of the Education Administrators will provide academic instruction and enrichment for students in accordance with licensure requirements as outlined by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Reading Specialist/Teacher will also support students in building their reading skills through school-wide literacy initiatives targeted interventions and ongoing collaboration with Special Education Teachers parents and administrators. This is a full-time 40-hour-per-week 12-month position. Salary range $60000 to $84000 per year. QualificationsBachelors degree with an emphasis on reading and writing required; Masters degree in education with a concentration in reading DESE licensure as a Reading Specialist teaching students with language-based learning disabilities strongly enthusiasm for working with young children; strong collaboration skills; and excellent oral written and interpersonal communication given to candidates with training and/or certification in Orton-Gillingham Wilson Language or other structured literacy to innovative instructional practices and the use of technology to enhance knowledge of federal and state ESE regulations particularly those related to special education and MCAS Description: The Reading Specialist/Teacher:Coordinates school-wide reading intervention and literacy or arranges all literacy-related assessments as required by students IEPs and advocates for additional testing or services when assesses prescribes and evaluates individual student reading needs to determine appropriate levels of support. **Please note that candidates who are offered employment will be subject to background screening to include: CORI SORI DCF and SAFIS (Fingerprinting) checks**Please submit a letter of interest resume and 3 professional references by December 1 2025 to: Center School Human Resources 1913 Northampton Street Holyoke MA 01040 or email EOE
