Project Manager | Salt Lake City, UT
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex structural steel construction projects from preconstruction through final erection. This role is ideal for a detail-driven leader who understands the full lifecycle of structural steel—from estimating and design coordination to fabrication, erection, and closeout.
The Project Manager will play a critical role in driving schedule, cost, safety, and quality outcomes while collaborating closely with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
• Manage structural steel projects from preconstruction through fabrication, erection, and closeout
• Lead preconstruction efforts including drawing review, scope definition, estimating support, and contract review
• Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and equipment coordination
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and financial reporting
• Coordinate engineering, detailing, BIM, fabrication, and field erection activities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and internal quality standards through site visits and project audits
Qualifications
• 5–8+ years of project management experience specifically within the structural steel construction industry
• Proven experience managing large-scale steel projects from bid award through final erection
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection methods, and codes (AISC, AWS, ASTM)
• Experience coordinating engineering, detailing, IFA/IFF drawings, fabrication, and field installation
• Proficiency with construction/project management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills
• PMP certification and OSHA 30 preferred but not required
Pay
$130,000 – $170,000 per year
Schedule
Part Time | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
