This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Data Scientist - REMOTE. In this vital role, you will serve as a senior individual-contributor authority on semantic modeling, context engineering, and AI-first data science. Your work will enable high-performing machine learning approaches and generative AI systems through well-architected context. As an AI Context Architect, you will design foundational semantic structures that improve the accuracy, explainability, and performance of AI systems, collaborating across multiple domains to make a significant impact in life sciences and healthcare.

Accountabilities

• Define enterprise-grade semantic representations for healthcare/life-sciences concepts.
• Create and maintain semantic schemas, ontologies, and knowledge-graph models optimized for AI reasoning.
• Establish context engineering standards for data shaping into prompts and structured outputs.
• Lead feature engineering strategy directly impacting model performance.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on complex datasets to identify predictive signals.
• Build and evaluate context-aware ML/GenAI solutions integrating semantic layers.
• Architect and implement retrieval and memory patterns.
• Translate domain needs into semantic and AI roadmaps.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2 years or Master's degree with 4 years in Data Science or related field.
• 10+ years applying data science in enterprise environments preferred.
• Deep expertise in semantic modeling and knowledge graphs.
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and performance drivers.
• Practical experience with RAG/retrieval and vector search solutions.
• Working knowledge of reinforcement learning concepts.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data/ML stacks.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
