UCSF School of Medicine – Department of Dermatology

The NIH-funded Razani Lab at UCSF is seeking an energetic and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher interested in immunology and innate immune signaling to join our research team. The Razani Lab focuses on understanding how innate immune signaling dysregulation in the skin leads to tissue and systemic inflammation. Our lab uses advanced synthetic biology and multi-omics techniques together with traditional cellular immunology and cellular signaling approaches to unravel how skin signaling and tissue inflammation are connected in both health and disease.

Your qualifications should include (by time of hire)

  1. PhD (or equivalent) in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, or related fields.
  2. Experience of multi-parameter flow cytometry and data analysis
  3. Experience in tissue culture, cellular and molecular biology, and related methodologies
  4. Original research publications in peer-reviewed journals
  5. Experience in statistical methodologies 
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills, ability to design and conduct independent research, learn new techniques, knowledge of the literature, critical interpretation of data and clear data presentation, ability to work efficiently in a team and with collaborators
  8. Experience in Single Cell Multi-omics techniques and multiple component analysis programs is an advantage
  9. Experience in cellular immunology and/or immune signaling research is an advantage
