Mortgage Underwriter *Position can move to a remote role after 4 months!!* Mortgage Underwriter Job Description: The Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter ensures that the assets reviewed meet all applicable investor guidelines, through a complete knowledge of requirements and regulations. As the Underwriter, you will be held accountable for quality and accuracy of decisions. The Underwriter will: + Decisions full range of mortgage loans, preferably including FHA loans + Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness + Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and related documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues + Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials + Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis Mortgage Underwriter Schedule: M-F 8:00- 5:00 PM with 30 Min Lunch. Mortgage Underwriter Additional Skills & Qualifications: + High School Diploma + Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and of basic automated underwriting systems + Proficiency with basic automated underwriting systems + Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations required, including Home Mortgage Disclosure Act + Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations helpful Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
