Job Description



AECOM is seeking a Bentley/Microstation - Mid Level BIM Specialist  in New York City. This position will focus on infrastructure-related projects including transit rail, marine, vertical and horizontal works including architectural work as it relates to drafting support.

Summary:

  • Work closely with the BIM Manager to ensure that all aspects of the projects are performed with quality and efficiency in accordance with the company standards. 
  • Collaborate with other team members on project setup and file maintenance.
  • Supports the development and utilization of BIM software and other digital mediums.
  • Utilize CAD / BIM software, such as Bentley/Microstation: Open Buildings, Open Road, Open Bridge and Open Rail software as well AutoCAD, Civil 3D, REVIT and others.
  • Executes work plans developed by senior staff and provides timely support in all drafting and drawings needs to complete project requirements.
  • May provide solutions to project challenges developed from a foundation of understanding or analysis. 
  • May provide training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content. 
  • May assist in setting standards and also mentor/help team members including consultants and/or other staff.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree in Construction Management or similar + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience utilizing Bentley/Microstation 3 D modeling: Open Buildings, Open Road, Open Bridge and Open Rail
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArchiCAD and REVIT software with an emphasis on architectural BIM / 3D modeling

  • Excellent technical drawing and blueprint interpretation abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Understanding of design principles and processes
  • Knowledge of material properties and specifications
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Relevant CAD software certifications (preferred)
  • Mentoring and training and providing technical support to staff as it relates to BIM / 3D modeling
