Job Description

As a Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing advanced engineering support for various projects and initiatives. You will lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring the successful execution of engineering support activities and the delivery of high-quality solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring that all engineering support requirements are met.

You will report to the senior engineering Manager of the Military Avionics COE and be responsible for driving execution on the existing military platforms. You will also be engaged in introducing and adopting new technologies in support of Honeywell 360 Display, militarized Anthem flight decks, and unmanned operations.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our engineering support operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of support specialists, providing guidance and support to resolve complex customer issues, and driving improvements in our support processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to provide advanced engineering support for NPI projects

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex engineering problems (hardware and software)

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

Collaboration with internal and external customers

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in advanced engineering support or related roles

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of LINUX platform, Display technology, Networking, Video protocols, Graphics/GPUs, etc.

Background in qual testing, H/W and S/W integration, Requirements Management system (DOORs) or similar requirement management tools/systems
