Job Description

The Wall Street Hotel is hiring a   Lead Pastry Line Cook to join our award-winning team. This role works closely with our Executive Chef and Corporate Pastry Chef to deliver a refined, seasonal dessert program that reflects our commitment to flavor, technique, and hospitality.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their station, and brings care and consistency to every plate.

Responsibilities:

• Execute daily mise en place for plated desserts and morning pastries

• Lead dinner service on the pastry station with precision and efficiency

• Oversee production of and produce creams, sauces, jams, choux, and other core pastry components

• Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe work environment

• Support ordering, inventory, and production scheduling

• Communicate proactively with chefs and support team training when needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen or bakery

• Strong technical foundation: choux, creams, chocolate, meringues

• Attention to detail in shaping, finishing, and plating

• Ability to follow recipes and work efficiently under pressure

• Team-oriented with clear communication and a positive attitude

• Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays

• Knowledge of food safety and proper storage practices
