Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to support a federal client in developing and maintaining mission-critical software systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that serve national interests, while gaining hands-on experience with modern technologies and agile development practices.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using languages such as Java, Python, or C#
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues
Maintain documentation for software systems and development processes
Ensure software meets performance, security, and compliance standards
Hourly pay range $45-55/hr

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects welcome)
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming and software development life cycle
- Exposure to web development frameworks, databases, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Active Top Secret Clearance
