As a Junior Estimator, you will have the opportunity to support both general construction estimating and preconstruction activities tied to our self-perform work, gaining hands-on exposure to a wide range of construction disciplines.We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn the estimating profession and grow into a key contributor within Forza.
You will assist senior team members with takeoffs, bid solicitations, scope reviews, and cost analysis, while also supporting preconstruction efforts related to Forza’s self-perform trades. This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and ready to build a foundation in construction estimating.· Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and bid tabulations across multiple trades.
· Support subcontractor/vendor outreach by distributing bid invitations and compiling responses.
· Help analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda for scope accuracy.
· Collaborate with senior estimators on the preparation of conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates.
· Support preconstruction activities for Forza’s self-perform work (design, steel, process mechanical, etc.) under guidance from experienced staff.
· Maintain and update estimating databases, subcontractor lists, and project documentation.
· Participate in internal meetings and learn how estimates are aligned with project schedules and client expectations.
· Develop knowledge of construction means, methods, and cost drivers through hands-on mentorship.
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or currently completing coursework), OR equivalent interest/experience in construction.
·0–3 years of construction or estimating experience (internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles welcomed).
· Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Eagerness to learn estimating software (ProEst, etc.) and Microsoft 365.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
· Interest in general construction as well as exposure to self-perform trades.
