We are excited to announce a job opportunity for the position of Events Assistant . This is a seasonal, part-time position. This position is available for internal candidates only; this position works concurrently with existing roles.

Location: Garden of the Gods Trading Post

Compensation: $14.81-18.50 an hour, plus tips

Expected Starting Salary: Typically between $15.00-17.00 plus tips, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are seeking an individual to support the Events Coordinator in the execution of special events ensuring seamless operations, exceptional attendee experiences, and the successful achievement of event objectives. This role seeks to uphold high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and efficiency while fostering positive relationships with event participants and enhancing the overall event experience. We are seeking individuals who are available on a part-time, seasonal basis, with flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed. This position works concurrently with existing roles.

Responsibilities:

• Understands the requirements for each event.
• Assist in the setup of event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and decorating as per event requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of food items according to specifications, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to inquiries, providing assistance, and ensuring their experience is enjoyable.
• Assist in post-event cleanup efforts, including clearing event spaces, disposing of waste, and ensuring the space is returned to its original condition.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to changes in event plans, schedules, or priorities, and be willing to assist in various tasks as required to ensure the success of the event.
• Occasionally act as a bartender, serving beer and wine.

Requirements and skills:

• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Well-organized with multi-tasking skills.
• Able to handle stress and remain calm.
• Previous experience in an events setting, such as catering, is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
