The IAM Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing identity and access management solutions that support enterprise and cloud security initiatives. This role focuses on Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), privileged access management, and integrations across core systems. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering and development expertise, along with hands-on experience implementing modern IAM platforms and related technologies.
Design and implement IAM and IGA solutions to support organizational security and compliance needs.
Deploy and support privileged access management tools, including enterprise password vaulting and session monitoring.
Work with application teams to onboard, map, and correlate system and application accounts within IGA platforms.
Configure IAM modules related to auditing, compliance, lifecycle management, and service account handling.
Develop, test, and troubleshoot custom connectors, workflows, and integrations using APIs and scripting languages.
Integrate IAM systems with HRIS platforms, directories, ITSM tools, and cloud identity providers.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to IAM and privileged access systems.
Perform access reviews and conduct periodic audits to maintain compliance with policies and standards.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Mentor junior team members and share best practices related to IAM technologies.
Strong experience implementing and integrating IAM/IGA solutions, preferably on modern enterprise platforms.
Experience with privileged access management tools is highly valued.
Proficiency with REST APIs, Java-based development, scripting, and web services.
Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, identity lifecycle workflows, and relational databases.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on IAM engineering and deployment experience.
