Description Robert Half is working with a well-established client in San Diego, CA, seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, overseeing all aspects of human resources operations. You will focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and driving initiatives that foster employee engagement and organizational success. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to implement HR best practices tailored to the needs of the organization. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. + Implement professional development programs to support employee career growth and retention. + Analyze workforce needs and develop succession plans to ensure leadership continuity. + Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, resolving workplace issues in a fair and effective manner. + Promote a positive and inclusive company culture through engagement initiatives. + Develop HR policies that align with company values and objectives. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.). + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations and advise the leadership team accordingly. + Manage risks and oversee investigations related to workplace complaints. + Evaluate and manage competitive compensation structures and benefits programs to align with market trends. + Ensure accurate payroll processing in coordination with finance and payroll teams. + Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and workforce optimization. + Analyze HR metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) strongly preferred. + Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR management experience. + Strong knowledge of California labor laws and regulations. + Proven leadership skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization. + Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills: + Experience in a dynamic, multi-departmental organization. + Familiarity with HR systems and data analytics tools to inform decision-making. + Ability to develop policies and processes tailored to both short-term and long-term business goals.
