Field Service Technician - Industrial Equipment

*Altoona, PA based company provides a service vehicle that the Technician will keep at residence
Our Client, an industrial cleaning supply and equipment company, is seeking a Field Maintenance / Service Technician. The Field Service Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of industrial cleaning and sanitation machines and equipment. The technician travels to customers’ locations throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Must have the ability to stay overnight and work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
• Mechanical ability – experience repairing and maintaining small motors and electrical and plumbing components is required.
• Professional customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated – ability to work independently
• Ability to push, pull and lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Willing and able to assist with general shop and supply maintenance when needed
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record per company’s insurance standards
Responsibilities
• Utilize mechanical skills to install and service our proprietary equipment onsite at customers’ locations
• Provides excellent communication and service to all customers
• Follow-up with clients before and after service visit
• Maintain tools and company vehicle to company standards
• Complete documentation and paperwork accurately and on time
Schedule / Benefit Overview:
• Schedule is typically Monday - Friday
• Hourly rate based on experience
• Occasional overtime
• Company provides company service vehicle (able to take home daily after training period)
• Company paid lodging when traveling
