Job Title: North America Events Coordinator

Location: San Francisco, CA 94158 (Hybrid – Tues through Thur)

Duration: 12 months

NOTE: We need candidates with direct, hands-on tradeshow experience – So asking for specifics on that experience would be ideal. We should eliminate anyone without., North America Events (Contract)

Overview:

Client is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and detail-oriented Event Manager to join our North America Events team. This individual will report to the Director of North America Events and will be responsible for strategically planning and executing various types of trade shows and affiliated events throughout the year. The manger will play a key role in delivering exhibits and sponsorships across Client’s Community & Regional Sales portfolio, optimizing Client’s presence at shows, and managing event logistics. The manager will also play a key role in managing aspects of the North America Events tentpole client and employee events. The position is based in Foster City or San Francisco, California.

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant event work experience with a bachelor’s degree
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Certification preferred
  • Direct event management experience supporting trade shows and small networking events
  • Knowledge of Payments industry or event experience at Fintech organization a plus
  • Proficient in MS suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); savvy with technology with a data-focused mindset
  • Able to manage basic graphic design tasks (resize images, cropping, etc.)
  • Experience managing project folders and documents using MS Teams and other Microsoft systems
  • Ability to collectively manage multiple projects and work independently within a complex and evolving environment.
  • Excellent at collaboration cross-functionally with colleagues at all levels as well as external vendors/partners, to accomplish meeting/events objectives
  • Superior communication skills (written & verbal); skills developing website copy and event communications
  • Serious attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines/time frames; prioritize workload
  • Trustworthy and credible; ability to manage sensitive information and share only as needed/appropriate

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel 10%.
