Job Description
We are seeking a culturally fluent, creatively sharp, and taste driven Editorial Director to lead the full creative and content strategy for Overheard , one of Doing Things’ most iconic and socially native brands. In this role, you will shape the voice, tone, and execution of all Overheard content — across static, video, branded programs, and emerging formats — ensuring the franchise remains culturally relevant, high-performing, premium, and unmistakably “Overheard.”This role requires a visionary editorial leader who deeply understands internet culture, humor, social content formats, and the nuances of short-form storytelling. As Editorial Director, you will manage the Editorial team, partner closely with Creative, Production, and Brand Partnerships, and drive the creative decisions that define Overheard’s presence across platforms.
You will be responsible for developing content strategies, setting the editorial agenda, guiding content creation, and maintaining the brand’s voice at scale. You are a leader, a tastemaker, a storyteller, and a creative problem solver who can translate cultural moments into highly engaging Overheard content.
This role reports into the VP of Overheard. We are prioritizing candidates in the New York City area (hybrid), but may also be based in the Los Angeles Area (remote). ResponsibilitiesEditorial Leadership & Content Strategy

The base salary for this position at the time of posting will range from $130,000 to $150,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.EOE
