Dental Hygiene Program Director (Contract to Hire)
Work Location: Essington, PA (50 W Powhattan Ave)
Job Type: Contract – 12 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule: Exact hours and days will be discussed during the interview process. Some flexibility may be available depending on program needs.
Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist Program Director for a 12-week contract with the opportunity to transition into a permanent leadership role. In this position, you will oversee the Dental Hygiene program, ensuring instructional quality, regulatory compliance, and effective leadership across faculty, curriculum, and student outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Dental Hygiene program
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies
- Support faculty through coaching, evaluation, and collaboration
- Oversee curriculum planning, course delivery, and student assessment
- Maintain strong relationships with campus leadership and external partners
- Guide continuous improvement efforts within the program
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of faculty as needed
- Promote a positive, student-centered learning environment
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in dental hygiene or related education
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (lead instructor, coordinator, or administrative role)
- Active RDH and applicable state credentials (as required)
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
