Job Opening: Licensed Cosmetology Instructor (Learning Leader)

Location: The Temple Frederick - A Paul Mitchell Partner School

The Temple Frederick, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, is seeking a Licensed Cosmetology Instructor (Learning Leader) to join our team! We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude, strong technical skills, and a passion for inspiring the next generation of beauty professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for licensed professionals who want to share their industry knowledge while advancing their own careers. We offer flexible schedules - perfect if you wish to remain part-time behind the chair while also developing as an Instructor.

About the Position

Cosmetology Instructors (Learning Leaders) play a vital role in the success of our future professionals. Responsibilities may include:

  • Classroom Instruction - Teaching haircutting, color, texture, theory, and/or professional development using Paul Mitchell systems and culture.

  • Clinic Floor Supervision - Overseeing guest services, providing technical guidance, and coaching students on salon success skills such as consultations, rebooking, and retailing.

  • Coaching & Mentorship - Inspiring, motivating, and modeling professionalism in alignment with Paul Mitchell culture.

  • Ongoing Training - Participating in technical training and quarterly paid on-site training to strengthen both instructional and technical skills.

Qualifications

  • Current Cosmetology or Barbering License in the state of Maryland (required).

  • Former or current salon experience working behind the chair.

  • Passion for education, mentoring, and helping others succeed.

  • Strong technical skill set in color, cutting, texture, and sanitation.

  • Ability to use technology as part of the learning process.

  • Comfort with public speaking and classroom instruction (for classroom-based roles).
