Volt is immediately hiring a
CAD Designer in
The Woodlands, TX with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will assist in providing quality Projects from engineering sketches for internal use and to be issued to the client.
This is a first shift position
As a CAD Designer you will:
- Assist in providing mechanical design and detail drawings required for use in shop fabrication as directed by supervisor
- Gather information required for design & drafting
- Adhere to Document Management System for drawing numbering, editing and issuing
- 3D modeling of equipment
- Use of AutoCAD software
- Prepare detailed shop fabrication drawings
Estimated Duration: 2-3 mths.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of fabrication drawing layouts
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Knowledge of SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant (preferred)
- Knowledge of Inventor a plus
Education and/or Experience:
- An Associate Degree, or 2 years of college coursework (or 5 years job related experience)
- 3-5 years related experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Pay Rate: $ 47.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
