Job Description

Job Title: Brand Ambassador Manager Reports to : Chief Marketing Officer Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Cornbread Hemp is on a mission to improve lives with the highest-quality, USDA organic, full-spectrum hemp products—grown and manufactured right here in Kentucky. We've built a trusted brand through our relentless commitment to quality, transparency, and authenticity—and we're just getting started.

We're searching for a Brand Ambassador Manager who will build, manage, and scale a high-impact, local brand ambassador program across our priority DMA markets. This person will own the strategy and execution of our ambassador efforts—recruiting, training, activating, and measuring local ambassadors who physically bring Cornbread Hemp into their community.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. All full-time employees are eligible for health, vision and dental benefits with an employer contribution.

THE ROLE:

As our Brand Ambassador Manager, you'll build and scale Cornbread Hemp's local brand ambassador program across priority DMA markets. You'll work closely with marketing and sales to support retail velocity through grassroots activations. This is not an influencer role. It's about real humans, real conversations, and real product in hand.

Success is measured by one core metric: cost per can in hand.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A hands-on builder who has launched and scaled grassroots or field marketing programs
  • Comfortable managing local or DSD marketing budgets with a focus on efficiency
  • You think in real-world impact, not vanity metrics—cost per can in hand makes intuitive sense to you
  • Experienced recruiting, managing, and motivating brand ambassadors or street teams
  • Organized, resourceful, and able to execute across multiple local markets
  • A strong communicator who represents the brand professionally and authentically

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Ambassador Program Strategy & Execution

  • Design and own Cornbread Hemp's local brand ambassador program across priority DMA markets
  • Build playbooks for ambassador recruitment, onboarding, training, and activation
  • Define what “great” looks like for a Cornbread Hemp ambassador in community settings.

Local Market Activation

  • Recruit and manage ambassadors who activate the brand at:
    • Local book clubs, game nights, community events and pop-ups
    • House parties and small social gatherings
    • Community meetups and wellness-focused experiences
  • Ensure ambassadors are equipped with product, brand education, and talking points that convert awareness into trial

Community Partnerships & Local Sponsorships

  • Identify and execute high-impact, hyper-local sponsorship and partnership opportunities aligned with our target customer
  • Activate product in meaningful, real-world moments where word-of-mouth and shared experiences drive discovery
  • Develop guidelines and frameworks to evaluate these opportunities based on reach, relevance, and cost efficiency
  • Work closely with ambassadors to support and execute these partnerships on the ground

Measurement & Optimization

  • Track and report on program performance with a focus on:
    • Cost per can in hand
    • Product velocity lift in activated markets
    • Ambassador productivity and ROI
  • Continuously test, learn, and optimize markets, ambassadors, and activation formats

Ambassador Community & Culture

  • Build a tight-knit, high-energy ambassador community that genuinely loves the brand
  • Create incentives, recognition, and progression paths for top-performing ambassadors
  • Ensure ambassadors represent Cornbread Hemp's values, tone, and professionalism at all times

SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 3–7+ years of experience in brand marketing, field marketing, or grassroots activation
  • Experience working with DSD, retail, or distributor-driven brands (CPG, beverage, wellness preferred)
  • Proven ability to build and manage ambassador or street team programs
  • Highly organized, scrappy, and comfortable managing budgets and logistics
  • Data-informed but execution-obsessed—you care about results, not vanity metrics
  • A natural relationship builder who can motivate ambassadors and represent the brand externally

IT'D ALSO BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in hemp, cannabis, wellness, or regulated categories
  • Background in beverage, functional foods, or lifestyle CPG
  • Experience launching local programs from scratch

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) plan
  • Employee discount on all Cornbread Hemp products
  • Opportunities for professional growth and personal development

Pay: $70-85k w/ 10% bonus.

Join Cornbread Hemp and play a pivotal role in delivering the highest-quality hemp products on the market. Grow your career in a culture built on integrity, humility, and a “whatever it takes” mindset—where your work truly makes an impact. Apply today and be part of our exciting growth story.

Cornbread Hemp is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
