Asali in Cary, NC is looking for baristas to join our team.

We are looking for energetic, personable baristas and counter people. We are looking for reliable, hard working applicants, who are able to multitask and follow directions. Experience in basic food Knowledge is a plus. Asali Café offers locally roasted coffee, European pastries, cakes, desserts, soups, and savory specialties that are all made on premises.

Baristas should have the knowledge of how to make cappuccino, latte and espresso on a semi automatic espresso machine. Asali Café Counter Staff are very important to our company. Responsibilities include providing a welcoming and engaging environment. We will be relying on you to know our products.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Responsibilities

• Perform Opening, Midday, and Closing tasks depending on shift.
• Ensure cash handling is accurate using POS System.
• Problem solve and learn to utilize tools at hand
• Prepare drinks according to outlined recipes and provide consistent products.
• Properly operate machines including daily cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Take orders accurately and maintain knowledge of offerings.
• Ensure all coffee bar areas are clean; exceed food safety.
• Communicate clearly about daily operations and ordering needs
• Nurture relationships with customers to increase brand loyalty
• A passion for quality food and beverage
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
• Interested in learning
• Interact and maintain a positive relationship with guests, co-workers, managers, and partners
• Physical requirements include: lifting and carrying 25-40lb, standing for long periods of time, working with hot equipment.
