Aerospace Quality Engineer

Location: Kinston, NC, 28504

Long-term contract

Pay range: $54-$57/hour on W-2.

Must be able to support any shift assigned

Description :

• Implement processes, systems, and equipment that ensure the quality, reliability, and system safety of the company or procured products and services
• Provides quality system analysis to validate the integrity of quality decisions that affect products and services
• Analyzes contractual, product definition, and specification requirements
• Test products, processes, equipment, and measurement systems
• Ensures that the resulting processes provide for configuration management
• Participates in design and product reviews to ensure that producibility, inspectability, reliability, safety, Quality System integrity, and business process management objectives are met
• Supports the implementation of corrective actions that are necessary to reduce or eliminate nonconformance to design specifications
• Interfaces with company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements
• Uses statistical methodologies to ensure that specified levels of safety, reliability, and process capability are achieved, maintained, or improved

Requirements:

• Responsible for the quality interface between the customer and manufacturing for defect resolution and reduction
• Perform root cause problem solving by leading multiple, simultaneous cross-functional teams that include plant Operations, Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, and Program
• Follow and track all actions to satisfactory completion and collection of objective evidence
• Communicate status and ensure timely completion of manufacturing RCCAs
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Quality Engineering problem-solving tools
• Design, program, and implement a fully functional RCCA application
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• A bachelor's Degree is preferred
